Sojourn
Sorry I haven’t been around for a bit guys and gals. I’ve been really busy…….. (web design, programming, 110MB forums – over 1k posts now, etc….) I’ll try getting back to this a little bit each day from now on……. But i just want to have a little say about helping sites that you admire by clicking their ads once in a while. Talking about sites that offer great services….. Those sites that offer great services for free, or even for a small fee, deserve a little thank you….. Rather than just ad-blocking everyone’s ads, I actually deactivate it on sites that I love and click their ads a couple of times every so often like every couple of days or so (…. but not a fusillade, as I don’t want to get them banned from their ad services). I know most sites don’t want to use ads (like my wife’s) but they need to make money to keep the sites going. So I thought I’d just come on here and say this – if you use a site that offers great free services or informative content, you might just want to say thank you to them by clicking a few ads rather than ad-blocking them…. nodding…… do it….. at least allow ads on their site to show, in case they have pay per view ads on the site. At the very least, you’ll help them stay around – web hosts do cost money after all and I know that good content takes a while to write ……. Now – I wonder what I’m going to get to burn when the new quest comes out on Runescape! Check out Marlaine’s articles on eHow – she is one amazing woman! Sign up to earn money yourself and give her a bit of credit by writing one article. MarlaineMarie@eHow sign up friends. She and her brother, Cyclecyco are getting pretty happy with the results from writing there. I am starting to suspect she is going to focus on photography though because she loves taking pics for those articles now. The sign up credit is only until the end of August 2008 but – hey – do it for yourself and earn money writing about something you love or whatever! {Edited by Marlaine} Good thing! Ya shoulda seen what I wrote the first time through. Hahahahaha – we laughed ’til tears streamed down both our faces!
I’ve been using a great site called Browsershots. If you do web design at all, it’s a great place to check out what each of your pages will look like on any internet browser you need to worry about. It will give you a preview of all viable browsers, allowing you to fix those little glips and slides in your designs on – say – Internet Explorer 6, or any other known problem browsers.

Big Decision
You may have noticed some rearranging done on this blog. I’ve actually made the decision to start including other content on here – such as movie reviews and more about my study of web technologies. Also, I might even put up a few coding tutorials, since I am getting rather heavily into web programming. Keep an eye on the categories on the right hand side for new listings and leave a comment if you just wish to see specific content. I haven’t been playing Runescape much lately and that’s another reason why I decided to open up the content of my blog. I’ve been playing Travian, and trying out different games we are going to be putting up as free stuff on Rune Reservoir on Rune Registry. But…. I’m always doing something

Random Picture Generation
I’ve written up a random picture generation script for the front page of My Website.
Try refreshing the page a few times to see…
It’ll be better when I upload a few more pics for it

Also on the Rune Registry Forums, Marlaine and I have decided to offer an Ask Us service. We’ll be hosting an hour long chat every Wednesday at 5pm CST for our members. If anyone wants to drop by to ask any questions regarding Runescape, just register and join in! The email verification is instant. Everyone is more than welcome!! ![]()
Members will be able to read the log if they can’t be there during the live chat.
Apart from that, I’ve been down in the caverns fighting the skeletons and brutal green dragons. My feelings on the Green Dragons are mixed – they are a great source of Green hides, each dragons actually drops 2 hides! The downside is they only drop level 2 clue scrolls. Level 2 clues? This seems like a bit of a rip off to me considering they are combat level 166 and hit hard with melee, magic and firebreath. All in all, I’ll probably stick with the Black dragons.
I fought a couple of Mithril Dragons with melee. They are very hard, using range, melee and firebreath but hit much harder than the Brute Greens and are hard to hit as well. I think next time I fight one, I’ll use magic or range – they are hard as nails to fight.
And in regards to the new Dragon large helmet (Dragon full helmet as it should be called) which the Mithril dragons drop – I don’t see the huge deal considering that the barrows helmets –especially Torags– are actually better. So, personally I’ll wait for that 50 mil price to drop on it before to even consider buying one. Personally, I like the neiznot helmet since that actually gives a strength bonus where the Dragon full gives none.

Updates, Updates and more updates
Well it has been a long long time since I last updated this, and well – in that time, I’ve gone from rags to riches and back to rags again. At one stage, I had 25 million GP in in my bank as shown here: (Click for a larger image [as always]) For a complete and up to date image of what I have atm – sob – just go to my web site >Located right here<. I decided to sell my Veracs temporarily and use the funds together with my Santa because I felt compelled to upgrade to a blue mask. (No sobs necessary – hahaha!) I will have to get Veracs back soon – I already miss it. The Kalphite queen is a rather exciting beast to fight solo, especially when she can and often does hit 4-31′s in rapid succession…. Until I do gain Veracs back, my kill tally stands at: Kill 1: Adamant spear Anyhow, I’ve set myself upon a path of 99 firemaking. Let’s see if I can make it or not….. After due contemplation, I’ve decided to drop support for Internet Explorer 6 and below on my website due to its inconsistent support for web standards such as CSS. Internet Explorer 7 however is fully supported, and so is the open source and free browser, Mozilla Firefox, which you can find HERE. I also strongly urge support of Mozilla Firefox. Since it is Open Source, it will always be free! Also, it is a lot more secure than Internet Explorer since any problems that do arise are fixed straight away – unlike Microsoft who just suggest that you upgrade your operating system!

Kill 13: 500 Mithril arrows
Kill 14: 75 Nature runes
Kill 15: 19 Blood runes
Also, in response to the new Runescape updates this week – I really like it! Varrock looks absolutely gorgeous! Considering what they did in Falador and the previous graphic updates, I can see Jagex is going to make every area of Runescape standout and be totally unique!Keep up the great work Jagex!

New site design
I am currently doing a complete rewrite of this site….. After much contemplation, I have decided to discard frames altogether. In it’s place, I am implementing a structure based on a very useful but basic PHP feature – PHP include. I am also discarding all internal stylesheets and other internal formating in favor of CSS completely. I’ll also be doing some major page redesign. This may take a little to do, but rest assured, the site will be even easier to navigate and be more visually stunning (I hope). {Marlaine says – I am trying to design unique elements for his site, like his new background -Smiling.}

Shoutbox removal, World switcher/toolkit database
I have removed the Shout box from the website due to continual loading problems. I apologies for this, as I will not be putting one back up – well, not unless I design and host one myself. We’ve also created a database of world switchers/toolkits on Runescape Registry. Head on over and check it out!

Skill & Training Tips UNVEILED
Skill Tips UNVEILED on my wife, Marlaine’s, website, Click here to have a look We’ve also now unveiled the Trainings Tips Section. These sections are CONSTANTLY UPDATED So check back often to see new content! Sorry it took so long, but with Marlaine’s site, we are replying heavily on PHP and MYSQL. By doing this from the outset, it’ll be easy to update and add content without even using FTP at all. For those that aren’t PHP wise, have a look at this blogging tool here, or at the Runescaperegistry Blog System, This blog is done with PHP! PHP is an interpreted programming language that allows you to run programs on the server to accomplish tasks that would be impossible with code that is run on the browser such as HTML and JavaScript.

CSS3 table backgrounds and blog categories
I’ve just been playing around testing different background images and seeing how they turn out. I think… hmmmmm…. it’s created an interesting appearance, head on over to the house plan in the primary website if you want to take a look. To get the full effect of the page however, you must be running Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox, or another browser that includes support for CSS3. To see the effect, simply click and hold on the right scroll bar and slowly move down or up, you’ll notice the background inside the tables stay put. I’m also going through and categorizing all these blog posts into their appropriate areas – big job, I should of done it before now.
Don’t forget! You can create your own blog like this one at Runescape Registry Blog Easy and Free…
