Writing for eHow… Smithing on RS

I came across something I do believe in and feel it is important to pay attention to. Earth Hour…. I have an article about it on MarlaineMarie@eHow………….
It really doesn’t help us in the United States because the time would be 4am for Primefalcon and me and from 5am to 2am across the country. We all really need to figure out ways to save energy in general or find ways to replace fossil fuels with something else. I am a tree hugger! I had a tree as my designated steed, complete with saddle, at my parents’ place in the country. I love nature and creatures. I love people, too! (A bit of soothing violin music in the background please……..) We do need to find a harmony and balance with what we use and what exists in the world – or we will run out of resources. Even after the Earth Hour is passed, we all need to save an hour of energy every now and then. Walk somewhere instead of driving or riding, use non-fossil fuel transportation like a bicycle every now and then, combine tasks or trips into a looping route to save energy, turn off the comp and read hard copy book for a couple hours, or whatever you can think of for an hour or so out of a day here and there.

Ok……………. back to doing some smithing on Runescape………… I am kind of far from a smithing level. So I’ll have to whittle it down a little today. I have a lot of ore to make into bars though and tons of coal to do it with thanks to Miscellania! Since the dang mining is so rough out in old wildy, now I am mining ore east of Ardougne and other places.

Primefalcon got a raven egg while he was cutting wood. I wish I could get one! 40 red ones, and around that in the other two colors and no raven egg…… sigh……………………. His chick is sort of blah but still cute.

It does not have to be 4 AM :-) My family did it at 8 PM tonight and it was awesome. Everybody was together, candles on a table, talking and laughing. We ought to do it more often and not only because of the energy savings. It’s great though that more and more attention in the world is turned to the problem.

Prime and I keep working on ways to save energy and recycle stuff. I use some of the weirdest stuff to handle the oddest tasks. I wish I had enough money to get patents on some of my inventions that come from trying to reuse things! Hopefully, I will someday! Heck, if I lost my sight, I could still get around since I usually wander around at night without any lights on. My Mom said I must have cat’s eyes but I partly memorize where everything is. I’ve always advocated treating nature and creatures with respect. (My dogs, cats, birds, fish and plants would back me up on that……….Smiling!)
