I too am interested in your battle staff idea, but i can only do water battles, 56 craft. 9k till you said you had 400 battle staffs? How do you get all those?!?!?!?! oh, and one more question… only if you know the answer… how do i get to the water obelisk? i have been buying them from the grand exchange for 2k, so I’m not getting any profit from alkin the staffs… sad

First of all, Zack Staffs shop sells you 8 battlestaffs a day, even if you haven’t gotten the Varrock plate from the Varrock Achievement diary and finished the easy tasks – but if you have finished the easy part of the diary, Zack will sell you 64 staffs for $7k each. I used one of my secondary characters to test this because I wanted to be sure about this and I could buy the 8 battlestaffs without even starting the Varrock Diary. So finish the easy part and buy your 64 staffs a day and you will be able to save those up if you have the gp to do it or buy the 64 a day to make 64 battlestaffs a day – every day – and alk them. When I first started doing these regularly, I got into the habit of making and alking as I went along but also “earmarked” a certain amount of gp just for buying and storing the battlestaffs for later. It saves a lot of time to stock up and do a task for a longer period of time than to do some, stop, then do some the next day.

I think that 64 is the amount of battles you get daily if you’ve done all the tasks in the Diary, isn’t it?…I’ve only gotten around to finishing the Easy ones and have only been able to buy 16 a day at 7k each.
Currently finishing up the next tasks….
Ok…Just finished the Medium tasks and you can buy 32 a day.
Ankou also tend to drop a decent amount of them in my experience.
Anyway, I enjoy reading your blog.

Thanks for letting me know NNY! I really had no way to check that so obviously we get to buy more battle staffs as we finish the different levels of the Varrock Achievement Diary. Thanks to everyone!

Obelisk Locations:

The Water Obelisk and the Fire Obelisk are both in the Taverley Members-only dungeon, near the black dragons. Once you get to the two black dragons, go east and up the ladder. You’ll see Catherby fishing from up there.

Go back down the ladder and to the west. The ladder is in the mini map and the Fire Obelisk shows to the left of the pic.

In classic Runescape, I used to have a friend hand me orbs over the water from the shore, then he’d run to the bank and swap them for me ……….. ah, the good old days!

The Air and Earth Obelisks are both in the Edgeville dungeon, across from each other. The Air Obelisk is up the ladder, just past the Black Demons (level 172) in a little alcove to the north. You see it as soon as you climb up.

The Earth Obelisk is south of the Black Demons, near Chronozon. Stay out of his reach. He hits hard! If you want to kill him, use the 4 death spells on him, otherwise he will regenerate.

Recent scam…….. evidently someone is spreading the rumor that there is a Runescape 3 beta starting. People are seeing some kind of banner on the German worlds and clicking on it. When they sign in with their Runescape character and password, they say nothing happens. Oh yes something happens!!!!!!!!! If you have fallen for this new scam, change your password and then your recovery questions. Also, immediately do a virus scan and a Spybot scan. …… But on the other hand, there really is something new called FunOrb coming soon that is Jagex’s new game that will be tied to Runescape somehow. This Mod logged into the FunOrb world – obviously a beta going on that we might never actually be able to try but an interesting pic.

Here is Jagex’s home page and the link to the new game page is right there for the clicking! As you can see, I have added it right here for you to see. It is legitimately Jagex and their soon-to-come games. It was added as a mini-game I see – FunOrb Mini-games and Vertigo Puzzle games.

I spent more time than I had intended playing Blasterball 3 today! It’s one of many games on WildGames. Another game that really gets me is Ricochet – it is really a visually beautiful game. I had these games on my old comp but after a reformat and then buying a new computer, I lost them.

Blasterball is a lot like DX Ball, which is another of my favs, but Blaster has a twist……….. it has zone waves that make the ball go in unpredictable directions, and sometimes all of a sudden.
