The Temple At Senntisten Quest

The Temple At Senntisten Quest

Start this long, member’s master quest by speaking to Ali The Wise in the north end of Nardah. This guide has all the hints and visuals needed to complete this quest so be warned – it does have spoilers all the way through. Rewards are listed at the end.

Start Quest Territory

Requirements:
50 Prayer
Desert Treasure
Devious Minds
The Curse of Arrav
125 Kudos with Varrock Museum

Items needed:
Teleport runes, digsite pendant (will be given while doing quest), telegrab spell runes, hammer (can be found while doing quest), various types of armour to do the Barrows mini-game, prayer pots and/or super restore pots, good food, and antifire pots.

Ali The Wise has recently been to the Digsite East of Varrock and spoke to an old contact of his, Dr. Nabanik, about your previous work with him. Dr. Nabanik wondered if you would be willing to meet him at the Digsite Exam Center to help him with some of his research and restoration of the temple beneath the Digsite.

Talk To Ali The Wise

Ask for some help to get there and Ali will give you a Digsite pendant to teleport to the area. Find the doctor at the Digsite Center and he’ll surprise you by admitting he is Azzanadra, the Mahjarrat, who gave you the ability to use Ancient Magics.

Dr. Nabanik

He’s hoping you can persuade the people in the area to trust him. He’s also searching for his beloved, who he hopes to reunite with. (This is mentioned only once and when you re-ask questions, it does not come up again so I am puzzled – a 4th quest in this series?) There is some restoration work to be done in the temple beneath the ruins that can’t be done until he can get a restoration certificate.

Win Win Situation?

The Senior Archaeological expert won’t help him but you can persuade him. He’s inside the Digsite Exam Center. Talk to him about Azzanadra, going through any of the dialogue necessary with the expert to convince him that Azzanadra deserves the certificate. He’ll give it to you to give to Dr. Nabanik.

No Wonder He Wasn't Believed

Give him the certificate and agree to meet him beneath the Digsite to discuss the next steps to the restoration. Mention that you will need a rope and he’ll give you one.

How To Get Down There

Find the winch, use the rope on it and then operate it. You’ll find Azzanadra in the center of the dig.

Descend Into The Dig

He’ll give you two items to get while the restoration continues it’s slow pace.
1.) An ancient icon from Barrows that absorbs the power of prayer.
2.) The Frostenhorn is buried in a snow laden fortress in the North.

Two Missions

He gives you a ruined backpack that will help you get into the fortress. The moment you open it, it will fall apart. There will be a letter and a heat globe within it. Read the letter.
Talk to Azzanadra about it. You will need extra telegrab runes when you go the Northern fortress.

Go to Cannifis to get to the Barrows area in the swamp. You’ll have to kill all six Barrows brothers to get to the center – so you basically have to do the Barrows mini-game. Equip for a full run of Barrows. An ancient icon should be waiting there in the middle once you’ve killed them all and looted the chest..

Barrows Icon

Next – equip for a fight with a level 177 Ice Demon. Be sure to take the heat globe with you. Carry telegrab runes and a hammer, plus wear dragon hide armour or high protect from magic armour, a good weapon, good food and prayer pots. Use the lever south of Edgeville bank (take something to slash the web) and run west until you reach the edge of wildy.

The Wildy Fight

As you can see, there is a big new area up there but it is not actually wildy. Steel and iron dragons all around the castle but not inside or on the upper level.

Put the heat globe into the pedestal to melt the big block of ice so you can get into the area.

Heat Globe in Pedestal

Run past the dragons on the south side to get into the castle. Climb up the stairs, go east and then climb down stairs. Scale the Damaged Wall and run north, and then west.

Scale The Wall

Climb down the hole. It will be a single zone activity area for the quest. If you forgot your hammer, just loot the crates in the north west corner to get one.

You will see a globe in a pedestal in the East corner. Take the globe and put it into the pedestal in another area to melt the ice block. A waterfiend will come out of the melted ice. You don’t have to kill it or any of the others – in fact, they respawn. Then telegrab the globe from the next area so you can put it into the next pedestal because the opening will freeze up again once the orb is taken out.

Telegrab the Globe

Keep going around the area and down the trapdoor until you get the globe with the fragment attached to it.

Imperfect Globe

Go back outside so you can put the globe into the smashed pedestal. Then push it so it slides down the side and into the hole.

Insert Here

Go back downstairs to see what it might have melted. Grab the globe in the west area.

Take the Globe

Go over to the east area and use the globe in the pipe. It won’t fit so you will have to hit it with your hammer to make it slip through the pipe, bounce off the floor and land perfectly on the pedestal. Once seated properly, it will melt the ice blocks. Go back to that pedestal and pick up the globe, then go up the ladder. Run west until you see an ice demon – level 177. Kill it using protect from magic.

Did You Say Dance?

It will drop the second item you need, The Frostenhorn. (It will hit only with magic.)

Rainbow Magic

Go back to Azzanadra. He’ll be finished with the renovation of the altar, but will ask you to get an item from someone who is supposed to be near the winch.

One Last Thing

When you go up, you’ll meet with an assassin.
You remember him as the one who stole the relic from Entranta.
You will be able to grab the item he has in his hands.
Feels odd to be on the same side now, doesn’t it?
Return to Azzanadra with the relic and give it to him.
You’ll see a cutscene showing Azzandra communicating with Zaros.

Opening A Portal

Even the monk in the Abyss feels the universe tremble…………

Wow!

There are two levers that teleport players to wildy. The one in Ardougne is well known but the one in Edgeville was added a while ago as an “In other news…” kind of update. It is, by far, more convenient since it is near a bank and teleports you to the same spot as the Ardougne Lever.

Hey M! I did the quest last night. Not a bad one at all. Hardly master though. I saw you mention it later in the guide, but putting a note at the top after hammer (can be obtained during the quest) might help people bring one more bit of food, I know I could have used it. There is one in the crate directly below the tube you need it on.

Although, with your awesome guide they might not need it.

Any guess on where the price on dragon and babydragon bones will stop? I tried buying 3k of each at max last night and again today at the new higher prices. Not a single one bought. I could use another range level. Might spend the day at the blues.

A good storyline. The quest was quite short but very enjoyable.

    Thanks for the guide Marlaine.

  3. Kitt Says:

You’re the second person to mention a lever near Edgeville bank. I’ve looked and couldn’t find one, so where is it?

    Cheers. :)

  4. Marlaine Says:

I’ll do a little screenie but it’s just south of the bank, near the dungeon trap door and the Yews.
