Boo! Who’s There? Death and Runescape’s Halloween Event: The Web Of Shadows
It’s Halloween time again and the Runescape Halloween Event – The Web Of Shadows – has begun! Time to return to an old haunt from Halloween past to visit at Death’s Door once more. Head south of Falador to the portal located north-west of Port Sarim to begin your Halloween experience! The very light seems as though it’s being sucked into the vortex of Death’s home.
The Grim Reaper has a problem he needs a little help with. You might be the only one who can help! Speak to him to find out what he needs of you.
There seems to be – A Spider In His Bathtub! It’s upstairs in the bathroom. Grim doesn’t want to kill it before it’s time – he just wants it moved. How hard could it be?
One word answers lead you to understand that the Queen Of Spiders has told this spider to sit in Grim’s bathtub and it won’t move unless the Queen tells it to. Go back to Grim and tell him what’s going on. Grim doesn’t like the sound of that and opens a portal for you to go talk to the Queen.
Once through the portal, you will find yourself on a giant web. You will need to get to the center and go up the ladder. Of course, there a few sticky problems getting there. The path is full of slip spots and is random so you won’t be able to follow others through the web.
You will find yourself in a second layer of spider webs that is a bit more like an agility course. Find your way to the next ladder. This maze seems to be the same for everyone – just a matter of finding your way to the north center edge.
Talk to the Spider Herald. Once you tell him that the Lord of Death sent you, you can go right up to see the Queen in her bed chamber.
Talk to the Queen about the spider in the Grim Reaper’s bathtub. It seems the Grim Reaper insulted the Queen on Halloween, no less, by sweeping cobwebs out of his house! You will have to tell him to replenish is cobweb supply. You’ll have to take a companion with you so speak to the Spider Herald again. He decides that Eek will be the perfect helper.
Return to the Grim Reaper and explain that he will have to allow Eek to put spider webs all over his house before the Queen will recall her servant in the bathtub. Grim agrees and now your task is to take Eek all over the house to spin webs over everything Eek wants. There are 64 items to cover so the sooner you start, the quicker you’ll be done. You’ll have to hold Eek in your hand to start making webs. Go through each room and Eek will tell you how many things need to be covered. It will also update for you in the message area – such as “You have webbed 18 out of 64 pieces of furniture.”
Entertain Muncher, the dog, a few times in the south east room. Then show Eek to the dog. Otherwise Eek won’t put webs up for you.
Finish webbing all the rooms and go back to the Grim Reaper to find out what to do next.
He tells you to go back to the Spider Queen to let her know it’s all webbed up again. Use the portal. You’ll have the choice to go through the maze or go directly to the spider court. The Queen will give you a cape made of spider webs. Eek will asked to be allowed to go with you.
Now you have completed Web Of Shadows event and can wear the cape with any costume you care to wear. If you have the skeleton outfit from a few years ago, it would go perfectly with that.
Eek will keep talking to you and saying different things. He’s really kind of cute! I’ll see if I can put him in my house in between times I take him out. Yes, Eek can scamper around all over your house and have fun. You can even talk to him when he’s on the ground.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! SMILING!
