I’m almost always writing something! My typing speed must be far faster than I ever dreamed I’d be able to do. Unfortunately, the moment I think about it, my errors increase to the max and my speed comes to a stand still….. sigh. I guess that happens when you are pretty much self-taught.

Now though – it’s Troll Invasion time. This will more than get that Level 93 Dungeoneering for me! Yes indeed – I did! (I can do floor 47 now but I haven’t unlocked anything above 39 yet —- sigh….) 713k to the next level.

I also want to add that I did not like the way the Blisterwood bolts worked last time I did Troll Invasion and am back to the rune crossbow and addy bolts and liked it fine. Except for the fact that my character totally froze up at the beginning of level 17, allowing that blasted Dynamite character get to the supply table, I still finished with my own supplies left over at the end after Cliff fell. I think next time, I’ll take a stat restore potion with me – for just this problem to avoid losing the combat stats when the one Poorly Cooked erks on me.

I really thought those lag days were over but now it seems to be a click problem. In the bank, in the GE, trading with Prime – seems I click one thing but something else gets activated instead. Sometimes I run like a crazed person to who knows where. It’s getting rather annoying and there is just not much I can do about it!

I’ve been using the Lunar Lodestone tele as my main bank pretty much all the time now since it seems the closest bank to a free tele. I have nothing against using runes to tele around but if I don’t have to carry them, I’d rather not!

Since I’ve been saving up death and blood runes for the Glacors, I guess I will have my share of this Boss Weekend even though I really am not into the combat aspect of the game. Funny, too, because I just reached 34mil xp in Strength without actually trying to but rather just working on assignments to try to get an effigy – maybe. I haven’t seen an effigy since before the announcement that the effigy drop would be decreased. That seems a bit unfair to me – after all 34mil in strength does indicate that I do a lot of fighting. In fact, even before the decrease in drops, I seemed to be getting a lot less than most people who were asking for assists.

A word about Glacors – they drop those nice boots and wouldn’t it incredible to get a double Steadfast drop? I have recently purchased a pair though so my chances of getting a drop are up significantly! I’ve always seemed to get the drop of something valuable once I’ve actually purchased one – like the Abyssal whip – and then I got quite a few while they were pretty expensive.

Runescape will also be switching some of the items from the Squeal of Fortune to include Monkey items. A monkey mace, a monkey barrel, and three monkey hats with the see no, hear no and speak no evil theme. This sounds like something I really don’t want, like the head tattoos and the horned hats so I will probably get some of those……. raised eyebrow.

I am looking forward to the extra 250k bonus item at the end of May! If it will be toward the skill of our choice, I sure know where I will put it. If it’s like the Skoll boots or Hati paws – I’ll make the most of it!

Well – that’s the news for now……. I’m going back to my assignments. I can do this one in Duradel’s cavern – a shame that area isn’t in the boss drop list but the Chaos Tunnels are and that’s where I’ve been getting my Infernal Ashes. The slime buckets and my growing stash of ashes will sure give me a whole lot of prayer xp when I feel like doing those!

They definitely have been helping me get Dungeoneering levels week after week! I try to do them every week ever since I realized how great they are.

Since the Skoll boots and Hati paws bonuses had to be used or forfeited – both Prime and I finished up our boots earlier today. Lots of xp and it took lots of time but just another thing that was well worth the time and effort! I am really sorry for anyone who lost out on those. Prime got levels with them. I moved up in high scores because of them. I sure didn’t want to run around that Gnome Stronghold course but….

It’s halfway through May and if you haven’t done Troll Invasion – think about doing it! Another xp bonanza!

This Wild Weekend will be for those who fight the Bosses…… There has been no news about what will be the special for the weekend though. They promise to tell more soon.

All that chasing down and siphoning the Runesphere is NOT worth the time and effort. You will not get nearly the xp you would get just doing the highest esswraith your level allows in the same amount of time it takes to finish the Runesphere.

As I said before – you can get up to 1000 dust and you will get 10xp per dust. For the amount of time I’ve spent working on it, I’ve gotten 459 dust and getting 12 xp per siphon atm. I could have searched all three levels to find the Yellow Wizard by now and gotten that xp plus go back to working on esswraith or nodes for a whole lot more xp.

I spent a great deal of time searching level 3 to find it using w100 sphere. Someone else found it on level 2 after I finished looking on every island. I did not get the full 1000 dust. Got almost 800 – so was given about 8k xp……. the Yellow Wizard gives me a bit more than 7.5k with very little effort or time taken usually. I’ve actually had those Yellow Wizards tele in right next to me when I’ve ignored looking for them.

We get nothing but the xp per dust…….. no essence or runes. Unlike the Stars, these spheres just are not xp efficient.

Oh my Lordy – while doing the Runesphere, I used up allllllll my regular essence! I have to go do some esswraith creatures to get a stock pile back but I have to use that floating essence cloud first! Now – even more, I give this a big thumbs down. No wonder others have been asking me why I wanted to do the Runesphere!

That dust I have in the bank is going to be dropped and I shall never again go searching for a Runesphere ball.

Sigh – even though the new Runespan is absolutely great for getting Runescrafting xp – especially during the double points bonus weekend – it is BORING!!! Shaking head. I’ve fallen asleep a couple of times working on it. I feel drowsy as soon as I’ve gotten all the base runes to do everything up on the third level and I am entrenched at a spot…….. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…….

I go looking for the Yellow Wizard to have something to do to shake things up. I’ve gotten enough points to buy more than 32 massive pouches now and that will last me a very long time! They last 42 trips to the altar – not 40. I’ve gotten more than 3mil Runecrafting xp since Runespan came out.

If the Yellow Wizard is close enough and you don’t waste too much time finding him, he is worth doing! I get over 7.5k xp for it at 99 and Prime gets 5.5k xp for 84. If I go from one end of the floor to the other and he teles out as soon as I get there – not worth it!

Another thing to watch for is running out of essence. Just do the highest esswraith you can to get a lot of essence stocked up fast. You do make the best xp and points by working on the highest nodes you can siphon but it uses up essence without giving any back.

“w100 sphere” is the chat to use to do the Runesphere. (Be on world 100 to be able to track it down quickly.) You can collect up to 1000 dust a day and turn them in for 10xp per dust.

During the points weekend, I’ve ignored my dailys and Jack of Trades. It takes toooooooo much time to get that nice base of runes stocked up when you have to start over again. Of course, whichever rune you do not have any of is the one that the Yellow Wizard wants if you haven’t stocked up all 14. (…..seems like.) He takes 10 of whichever he asks for, btw.

The last few levels on Smiddi and Rolayne are close enough be sure I can get those Mory Legs 4 today! It’s really the longest with these last two but one tip – take Smiddi through the treks ASAP…….. Don’t bother letting her fight because that silly scream and baffle abilities don’t get anyyyyyy xp when she uses them. The only time she gets xp is when something has attacked her and you can divert the monster’s attention to let it hit you throughout the fight. She will die quickly if you don’t feed her or if she has to use her own defense levels against it – which is zip even at the higher levels.

I have come to notice that feeding the followers shark do heal them faster than the raw meat soooooooooo filling them with food using the trade can use raw meat but it’s much more effective to give them higher healing food while on your trek with them. (I wish they had left Smiddi as a kid – I felt more protective and patient with her then…………)

Smiddi is level 96 now and Rolayne is 87. I don’t know when Smiddi began to tell me what was ahead but it is nice to be able to avoid – AVOID – the snakes and snails when I’ve got her on the trek. Smiddi will whallop them with her fists if they have attacked her before you divert their attention of course but it only lands for about 4 or 14 xp at a time which takes forever to actually kill a snake or snail. I’m not sure if it helps to let her keep hitting one until it’s dead but it must give her combat xp during the time she is working on it. Unfortunately it’s boring. Oooooooooooo – I saw a 23~! No, it just doesn’t help that much to let her fight………..

Don’t forget to check and replant your morchella mushrooms if you can do them – they are selling for 5.2k gp each atm on the GE. Mory legs 3 insure they will not become diseased and Mory legs 4 will double your 9 count harvest.

I used the house teles to get over to the Canifis Portal in my house and ran to the bank there. Then it’s just a matter of a quick gaunt to the Noticeboard to see if he made it or not.

Yes – he did get the level but I did not know he got it until I looked at the Noticeboard!

Now I have to get the Ghast familiar and open it up.

Geezzzzz a lot of gp for a couple of seconds of a familiar pouch – isn’t it? I have to open it or I won’t get the Elite Legs. I have to summon it in Morytania, too, so it would have been pointless if I had summoned it somewhere else by accident…….sigh……….

The Elite are more navy blue……. shrugs….. I liked the color of the earlier versions but I love the benefits of the Elite a whole lot more! Double mushrooms for one.

Added bonuses:
*50% more prayer experience for cremating vyre corpses
*Robin will give the player 39 bonemeal
*Double mushrooms from the Canifis mushroom patch.
When worn:
*10% chance of getting a second blood rune for every single essence.
*10% more slayer experience when doing a Morytania Slayer Tower task.
*20% chance of creating a 4-dose Prayer renewal potion when made in in Morytania.

The new bonfire will feed all your inventory logs to the fire if you are near enough to an existing fire or start a fire of your own, then add to it with the logs you have. Using a beast of burden will definitely let you burn longer without going to the bank.

If you add 5 or more logs to an existing fire, even your own, you will get a temporary boost to your maximum life point and the time will depend on your firemaking level.

You will also get an boost to the xp you get per log if you add to an existing bonfire with more than one person using it – up to 4% if 5 or more players are using the same fire.

If you cook something on a player made fire, you will get an extra 10% xp bonus on cooking.

Also, you will see a glowing ball of fire sort of hoving near you every so often. It’s a Fire Spirit. Click it for the rewards and it will be freed, giving you bonus items like charms, gnome firelighters, noted ore, etc.

None of the familiars that give firemaking bonuses will work with the bonfires but the Ring of fire, Flame gloves, Dwarven Army Axe, the Barbarian Assault penance horn and the clan ring will all work with the bonuses!!

I used my Ring of Fire, Glame gloves and maple logs on a fire with 5 or more people and got about 191/192 per log – it was 184 without 5 people using the fire. (Maple logs from Miscellania.) I did a load of yews and got 284 each. Actually, while adding logs and typing this and doing a bit of searching for some info – I got over 100k xp in firemaking!

This upcoming Wild Weekend will give double points for any successful siphon while working in Runespan. The points will apply to any rewards offered in Wizard Finix’s shop. From Saturday the 12th to the end of Monday the 14th – in England.

(I should be done with my Temple Trekking by then!)

Oh how I love the xp from the Weekly Penguins! No wildy, desert or Elf lands this week – sweet and quick to do!

Primefalcon and I have been watching Ancient Aliens – wow …. what a great show!

I have heard that the Massive Pouch has 40 uses before it disappears – also that it doesn’t degrade. My large pouch has degraded since I had it and I know I had replenished it just before Runespan came out, so I am fairly sure the Massive pouch does not degrade. Be sure to wear the Morytania legs when you Runescraft. You do not have to wear the Robe pieces to get the extra benefits on the Wicked Hood. I had 339 Blood essence after using all the free essence in the hood and the runes of my choice. I had 94 from a regular run with just pouches. The xp is not that impressive after being spoiled by Runespan and I’ve been hearing everybody comment that Runecrafting will never go back to the Altars because of Runespan. The fact is – the different runes will still have to be made to sell or have. I will be using my hood to get the runes I need a bit more now because the xp for doing bloods as opposed to doing cosmics doesn’t really mean anything to me now. I don’t know how others will feel about that whether they have 99 RC or no.

I might do more Runecrafting down the line but I must use those Skoll Boots before the 16th and finish Temple Trekking until all my characters are 99 to finish that Morytania Achievement Diary.

As far as the May Madness goes – putting tattoos and “rare” items of that nature in place of xp lamps? Whyyyyyyyyy? It almost makes me want to ignore it for a while. I’ve gotten more iron ore and bronze axes, oh and raw tuna, than I care for already. The day I got the huge xp lamp was amazing. Nevertheless, getting a tattoo does not thrill me. MarMarie got a pair of horns though but I don’t expect she’ll be wearing them soon unless she’s going to a costume party as Hagar, The Horrible’s wife……(The comic strip…)

Oh and here’s one big gripe…….. Jagex says that 90% of the players do Squeal of Fortune on a daily basis and that constitutes acceptance by the players of the Squealie…… shaking head. That’s like saying – (as Prime and I have in the past) – that we are not keen on those XP weekends and Prime has been adamant about it not being right – and then not playing during the XP weekend at all to show how much we hate it. Does anyone see how short our noses would get with that kind of spite? What an incredibly stupid statement for Jagex to make. But wait……… I have something to show you………………..

MarMarie’s Inventory as of today…………

All of the lamps that Marmarie has in her inventory are for the skill of my choice. I have been using all the lamps from Squealie that have a set skill on them. It started out that I just didn’t know what to use the lamps on and as time went on, I just noticed how many of those MarMarie was getting. I don’t do a lot on her so I could save the lamps up. If we could bank them, I would have on my main character. But the point is – that’s going to be a lot of xp! I’ve gotten levels on Mar from the specified lamps, too. All that xp or snip my nose off to spite my face? Raised eyebrow………..

It seems that doing the highest nodes you can siphon gives you the best xp. At first I thought it was the highest esswraith you could work on but…….. I also heard that the nodes time showing is longer than it was and I did notice that this morning when I got on for a while.

Chasing down the Yellow Wizard only “works” for me when I’ve gotten too bored standing in one area. I look around at connecting islands for new nodes and move there if I see high ones but otherwise I stay on a Soul Esswraith Island – then i can just mindlessly siphon those all the time. When I do start tracking down a Wizard, I usually stop to siphon the Undead Souls, Living Souls, Bloody Skulls, Blood Pool, Skulls or Jumpers. (All the rest are less xp than the Soul Esswraith – always do the highest you can do.)

The Runesphere event is incredibly hard to find unless you use the clan chat “w100 sphere” or some other if there is one…… I finally got to see one but had to take a phone call so I couldn’t try siphoning it at the time – rats! Log into world 100.

I found out that the Wicked Robe top gives 25 extra essence and an additional teleport to a Runecrafting Altar. Both the Cape and the Legs add 25 extra runes to the 100 you started with and both add another chance to get either 5 or 10 runes of your choice. To point something out that’s pretty obvious – unless you need runes, Runespan is the much better way to train your Runecrafting! The Wicked Hood set will definitely give you a chance to make tons of runes every day if you do need them though. Don’t buy the Wicked Hood though because it’s the same as the one you get for free – just more pink. If you are going to recolor your robes, wait until you’ve gotten all the pieces you want to get.

Ohhhhhhhh wait! I didn’t get that extra teleport! I got the same thing the legs would have given – 25 extra essence and an extra choice of 5 or 10 runes. Tisk! Will the legs give the extra tele as the finishing of the set then? Probably…….. I DID get 297 bloods from one run, with all the essence and extra runes the Wicked set is giving, plus the benefits from the Morytania Legs 3.
