Elite Achievement Diary Task Additions

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Well – here are the new tasks needed for each of the new hard or elite tasks for the area specific Achievement Diaries…………… The tasks for the Elite Ardougne Achievement Diary are already listed in the guide to the right. This is just to put all the things needed in one visible list to make it easier to co-ordinate what will be needed to do these Elite Tasks and know at a glance what levels will be needed. I’ll be adding the tasks to the Achievement Diary Guide to the right in a day or two. Penguins Again…..

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

It’s time for penguins again! After that bonus weekend, that had an extra day added to it, I won’t be quite used to all the levels I got from it. Even though I got 4 levels, I dropped in the High Scores sooooooooo….

I’ll be working on Elite Achievement Diary tasks after this but I tell ya – one task calls for wearing a fire cape. Not only don’t I have one, I didn’t really want one either. In effect, Runescape is demanding that we all get one.

On with the hunt………..

Week 106 : Sept. 7th to Sept. 15th
1.) Wilderness – West of Bandit camp – Rock 2 pts
2.) Lletya – Near crystal tele spot – Toadstool – 2 pts
3.) Mudskipper – Fally Farm near the loom room – Bush – 1 pt
4.) Al-Kharid/Mage Training Arena – In the courtyard – Bush – 1 pt
5.) Lighthouse – Trapped West of the Lighthouse – Rock – 1
6.) Witchaven – Near Catherby unicorns – Rock – 1 pt
7.) Castle Wars – In South Yanille wall – Rock – 2 pts
8.) Miscellania/Eceteria – At the docks – Bush – 2 pts
9.) Mos Le’Harmless – Up on the North wall – Barrel – 2 pts
10.) Karamja – In South Tai Bwo Wannai – Bush – 1 pt
11.) Jim Bear – Musa Point Well – 1 pt
You must have completed the Hunt for Red Raktuber quest to spot the bear.

Added reminder:
You get 2 points for some of the penguins only after you have completed the Cold War Quest.

I saw the Karamja gloves work with the Captain even though I wasn’t wearing them. The game now recognizes the fact that you’ve earned the whichever specific rewards you’ve gotten like the gloves. Just like the Varrock plate isn’t needed in Edgeville to smelt ore in the furnace, you won’t have to have the gloves, headband, plate, cape, or boots to get whatever reward is associated with it. Dell Monti will now give you 40 noted pineapples without having to wear your Karamja gloves now – so talk to him near the Karmaja portal near the building.

Was nice to see Brunswichstu at Edgeville – at least I think I “saw” him…. What a busy place that is on world 60 during Penguin time and trying to give assists! One person was having a problem reading his penguin spy book. The thing I do – silly or not – is to log out of Runescape, close the page, then reload it again. Sometimes that’s all that’s needed to fix a glitch. I also get a whole front log in page that looks like odd needlepoint. Then, for sure, a closing and reopening of the page fixes that issue.

I suspect I’ll be getting a level in Construction doing assists well before a Runecrafting level. Not many people seem to need or want a lowly 91 rc assist but it sure helps to be able to offer up to 95 in Construction! I am trying to do some runecrafting every now and then – getting the statue pieces gives me a reason to Run the Abyss and get a bit of rc xp. Needing those abyssal charms is also a good reason to bring the pouches full of essence since I have to go through a runecrafting altar anyway.

One thing I would like to say once and for alllllllllllll – so many players are not the gender they portray themselves to be so please forgive any mistake I might make calling a him a her or a her a him…….. shrugs. I personally know two people in rl who are not the gender they “wear” on the game. So – again – forgive any faux pas I might make. Let’s face it, Jagex also changed the clothing designs on armour and such to be even more non-gender, making it even harder to tell. I find people’s personal choices fascinating at times. Just a tiny added note – some colors actually do clash…. eye ouch! …. raised eyebrow.
