What To Do………

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

After that third Thieving level since the Ardougne Achievement Diary cloak 3 came out, I am settling in to get a Mining level – I think. In truth – I can’t believe how easy and fast those thieving levels have been! If I wasn’t seriously of tired of it at the moment, I’d work on another level!

Since about 1002 teak planks gets about 100k xp doing the trophy guild build, I will just let the correct amount of teak planks build up before doing any of that. It’s boring to get them planked but better to equip to do them all at once really.

Ok – I broke down and bought a dragon pickaxe. I’ve borrowed Primefalcon’s a couple different days and it seemed ok but not that terrific – until we did stars together. I was at a star first and was on my way to the 200 daily dust but he passed me up using his dragon pick. His mining is 81 and mine is higher – sooooooooooooooooooo……… I have one now – now that he proved to me that it is actually better than the Inferno Adze…………… Unfortunately, I have to do those 2k battlestaffs now to have some gp again. I think I’ll pick nightshade this time while I high alk. Another unfortunate part – I have to make molten glass, to make orbs, to make air orbs, to make the air battlestaffs that I will be able to high alk once I’ve made the air battlestaffs………… sigh…………………. Plus, I accidentally bought packs of summoning shards with all the remaining gp I had – sighing again. Now I really have to get that glass, orbs, battlestaffs made to high alk ASAP! I would lose gp trying to sell those back to the seller. Sighing again………..

I am empowering the orbs I have made but still need to make more glass. Dang it! I wanted to work on mining.

Since the time things are annoying when you don’t know when you can do them – I’ve decided to put up a list.
Most of the dailys begin at 0000 or 12:00am (UTC)
To make it real easy – here’s a link to UTC Time so you can figure out what time your zone resets.

All the following are reset at 0000 UTC time:
* Bork can be killed again.
* Evil Trees can be cut down again – 2 a day.
* The Explorer’s ring recharges.
* The Falador Shield recharges to renew your prayer.
* The Fremennik Boots give a free teleport to Rellekka.
* Geoffrey, the flax flake, will give you noted flax again.
* The Phoenix can be burnt again.
* Star sprite’s 200 dust can be turned in.
* Zaff Battlestaffs can be bought again.

The following are reset at 0000 UTC time – plus one hour:
* Wizard Cromperty will give pure essence to those have completed the medium or hard Ardougne achievement diary.
* Dell Monte, a pirate near the Brimhaven House portal, will give you 40 pineapples a day.

These are the once a day activities that begin at your instigation:
* Arhein will sell noted Seaweed or Pineapples 24 hours after you last bought them.
* Bert will give you 84 buckets of sand 24 hours after you last got the sand from him.
* Miscellania Kingdom Management resets at the time you finished Throne of Miscellania.

I put the list up as the Daily Do-s page to the right. After all, once I’ve babbled on for a month or so, this would be kind of hard to find. Soooooooooooo……………

Did you check out the Patch Notes – bug fix/update list on the forums page? Holy smoly – that is one longgggggggggg list! I was just going to look quick but gave up!

I checked out the new hair – nothing suits me better than the fluffed up pony tail for the time being. I noticed that they did add some length to the styles before but no way to see it unless you get it.

Primefalcon and I agree that the Skill Totals worlds should be higher. Prime says 2k… I’m thinking at least 1.5k. Even my little characters are close to 1k.

As for some of the other news:
Watching Prime looking at his map is sort of cute.
Too bad the GE can’t back space when you are checking out something you want to buy that is one in a longer list.
Alking 500k gp items is not the problem so much as alking things like the Robin or Ranger boots that alk for possibly 10gp.
Smacking the Gargoyles should be a lot easier now than the old fiddly way.
Finally – I’ve always thought the Fairy Ring Co-ords should be clickable on the menu!

I made over 2k laws today because that price for laws on the GE is just too high for my sense of saving gp. Now that I’m getting a lot of pure essence free, I can’t justify buying because it would cost over 100gp just for the essence. I’ve also saved a lot of essence from slayer assignment drops, too – so I’m going to go make some cosmics to empower orbs as well. I haven’t used my penguin points for two weeks because of this blasted indecisiveness I’m going through. I want to do Summoning for that Elite part of the Ardougne Achievement Diary – that little accident with the shards pretty much assures I won’t run out of them for a while. Tisk! Considering how long it took to make 2k laws and how little xp it earned in process is pushing me back to deciding in favor of using those points on Runecrafting – since it’s for level 91 (double natures), it is a bit more worthy…

They made that Challenge thing too difficult to get any challenge scrolls for so long that I am not exactly interested in checking it out. I will in a while but Prime doesn’t want to at all. He’s been working on the imps since it came out, looking for a scroll and never got one. I accidentally got a scroll from a goblin or something a long time ago and did it but it’s no big deal – yet never got any other. “The leprechaun champion is taking on all-comers – there’s no need to find a challenge scroll to fight this little pugilist. Just head on over to the Champions’ Guild and prepare yourself for some ‘no items’ fisticuffs.” Well – I’ll give it a whirl in a while.

The Leprechaun Challenge

You can not have any items on you when you take the Leprechaun’s challenge – not even a ring.

Mighty Right Cross

It feels a bit hollow to fight and win against a level 32……………sigh…………

What A Win!

Larxus also gives you a bag of Calling Beads. They can be used to find out your accomplishments in the Challenge Hall.

Penguin Time ….. Is That Rock Moving?

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

Yipppppeeeeeee!!!!! Penguin Time in Runescape once again! This week’s Penguin/Bear Points will put me so close to a level that I am shocked that I forgot it was today! Problem was – it’s been one of those really odd, ill fated days for me. The last nerve blasting incident was a really heavy flashlight hitting me on the forehead, and then on the forearm like a karate chop, when I was pushing the fridge back into it’s rightful spot after mopping up under the fridge after a gallon of milk slipped out of my hands, and the cover popped off, slipping halfway under the fridge with all the gushing milk. Bigggggggggg sighhhhhhhh………

Let’s hope I have better luck finding sneaky penguins and a big dopey bear! (Or maybe I should lock myself into a closet padded with pillows to try to keep myself safe for the rest of this evil cusp transition that is passing over my astrological whatever?) Whew!

On with the hunt……… I hope…..

I did the two wildy ones first to get them out of the way. Of course, I took some time to get mith and addy ore from the Hobs – took a spirit bird to carry more back to the bank…. smiling….. Wear the Forinthry (diamond enchanted) bracelet to block the tele blocks from revs – works like a charm… or an enchanted diamond bracelet.

I use the Penguin Spy Book as I go along to be sure I actually spied them. (I especially hate having to go over all of them when some are in wildy or north of the Elf Camp!) The Fairy Rings teleport system was very handy this week.

Week 48: July 22st to July 29th
1.) Wilderness – in the Lava Maze – Rock – 2 pts
2.) Wilderness – North East of Bounty Hunter – Rock – 2 pts
3.) Lighthouse – between the lighthouse and the bridge – Rock – 1 pt
4.) Al-Kharid – North of the Duelin’ Arena – Cactus – 1 pt
5.) Karamja – East of broken of glider, by shipyard fense – Bush – 1 pt
6.) Mos Le’Harmless – Was in the bank on the island – Barrel – 2 pts
7.) Mudskipper Point – In the chicken coup farm south of Fally- Bush – 1 pt
8.) Miscellania/Eceteria – Behind the bank (CIP) – Bush – 2 pts
9.) McGrubor’s Woods – Near the house (ALS) – Bush – 1 pt
10.) Jaitzso – North of the town wall – Bush – 2 pts
11.) Jim Bear – in the Rimmington well – 1 pt

Oh Lordy – when did Runescape post the new quest? I checked earlier today and it wasn’t up! Now it’s after midnight and I see it’s up. Did they release it later than usual? Dang – I might have to wait until tomorrow to do that quest. I sure don’t want to rush doing the quest guide and I am really drowsy from the clunk on the noggin!

Oooooohhhhhhoooooooo – I was just going to say I must really be cursed today and what is the title of the dang quest?

The Curse of Arrav!!!!!!!!!!

Now I am getting seriously worried!~

Went to poor ‘ol Chuck and turned in the points…… Less than 10k away from Level 89 Runecrafting! Dang it….. I am going to start that new quest before I go to bed – as much as I’d rather do some runecrafting at the moment! I won’t be able to get the quest guide done tonight but I will get it done tomorrow – unless the cluck – opps – clunk on the head is something more serious than this awful headache I am trying to ignore.

Looks like some serious requirements:
37 Slayer
41 Summoning
61 Agility
64 Ranged
64 Mining
64 Strength
66 Thieving
Completed:
Defender of Varrock
Shades of Mort’ton
Troll Romance
The Tale of the Muspah
Missing my Mummy
Must have completely restored Senliten
I do not remember who or what Senliten is…. Ok was the Mummy in Missing My Mummy quest…… sigh…. See, it’s good to do quests as they come out. Then you don’t have to go do another quest first to do the newest one! Also helpful to write guides that I can go look at to refresh my memory, befuzzeled at the moment though it may be!

See you guys tomorrow! Find those Penguins and that dopey Jim!

Hmmmmmm…… insulated boots, yeah threw those out a long time ago and have to get some more. Curse this blasted lack of space in the bank!

Penguins!!! A Bear! Where?

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk……….. I got that Agility level – as I said in an add-on to the last post. I’ve also gotten more than 50k whittled off the xp needed to get to level 87. That course is dang fast! I had gotten half way to 86 from just doing things around Runescape – I really don’t know what I do that works on that but obviously it’s the constant hopping and jumping I do in daily tasks. I always though it was from doing the Abyss but I just don’t go in there much any more so that is ruled out of the possibilities! I will try to pay attention for a while just to see what is giving me agility xp.

Fireworks Went Up The Pipe!

One of the things I like about this Extended course is how fast it is to do a full lap. Another is the fact that you are so close to a bank that food is no problem. A third is that you just do not run out of run at any time. Fourth, I can take a small break when I get tired of doing the laps and go do a round of herbs, get my battlestaffs, seaweed, and flax and come back raring to go again. If I get bored next, I am going to mix some pots for a while. Or put battlestaffs together. I’ve needed to collect curry leaves and poison ivy berries so I planted a curry next to the agility course and I have a poison ivy plant on Miscellania, where I also cut a few maples to regain popularity daily.

Of course – that is after I’ve found every camouflaged, icicle loving bird and bear on Runescape!!!! As always, I am listing the places I found the penguins on World 60, and they could be a long way away in just minutes! I also take the Penguin Book to be sure I’ve gotten them spied. The lag we get every now and then must mess up the spotting of the penguin or something. I did Elf first and made sure I had it before leaving the area! (I often try spying a second time to confirm that I’ve spotted it.)

Get Those Spyglasses Out Now!

Here is The List:

Week 44: June 24 – July 1
1.) Elf Lands – south of the Elf camp –Toadstool – 2 pts
2.) NW of Ardougne – West outside of Gnome Stronghold gate – Bush – 1 pt
3.) Castle Wars – North Wall in Yanille – Rock – 2 pts
4.) Feldip – South Wall in Yanille – Rock – 1 pt
5.) Piscatoris – south of AKQ near hunting area, west edge – Crate – 2 pts
6.) Eastern Karamja- South west of the shipyard – Bush – 1 pt
7.) Southern Desert – South East of the Bedabin Camp – Cactus – 1 pt
8.) Canifis – Near Slayer Tower yard – Bush – 2 pts
9.) Burthorpe – North east of town in smithing shop – Rock – 1 pt
10.) Wilderness – In Lava Maze, inside the Lesser Demon cage – Rock – 2 pts (Take a knife!)
11.) Jim Bear – Rimmington well – 1pt

The Circus is just North of the cactus patch in Al Kharid.

Take a super-antipoison when going after the Elf Camp penguin. I really dislike those myself but at least if you can’t get poisoned, it’s not so bad! I hooked onto a group that was going – otherwise – I will admit, I probably wouldn’t be able to find my way around out there!

Ok – now to turn in my points and get some Runecrafting xp. Then some dinner and back to running around and around and around and…….

I want to see those Agility legs!

Smiling!!!
