Cannot leave the small wooded area West of Seers Village (Fairy Ring: ALS).
4.) Ice Mountain – Rock (1 point)
Last seen on ice mountain near the oracle.
5.) Wizards Tower – Bush (1 point)
Last seen at the wizard tower.
6.) Al Kharid – Cactus (1 point)
Cannot leave the Al Kharid area. Last seen east of scorpion mine pit.
7.) Desert – Cactus (2 point)
Last seen north of nardah.
8.) Mort Myre – Toadstool (2 point)
Last seen southwest of swamp gate.
9.) Mort Myre – Rock (2 point)
Last seen southeast of canifis near lizard hunter area.
10.) Wilderness – Rock (2 point)
Cannot leave the Wilderness (be prepared to die). Last seen at alter level 37 wildy pkers are trapping peng out there level 126s with yaks.
11.) Musa Point – Polar Bear (1 point)
Cannot leave the well near the shop in Musa Point.

Don’t forget to do Jack of Trades – another great source of constant daily xp! The statue also gives the same xp per skill and can be done every week – giving more xp per week but not on the skill you chose!

Now – I’ve noticed a few interesting things about Vyrewatch hunting……. For one, they are being given as Slayer assignments now. Ever since The Branches Of Darkmeyer Quest, and having the use of Drakan’s Medallion, it’s so much easier to get over to Burgh de Rott for starters. Throw in the use of Blisterwood stakes – wow! Add a Pack Yak to that and the Winter Storage scrolls, plus a higher combat level than when Prime and I were when we did a whole lot of corpse hunting to use with pyre logs for great prayer xp – it’s unbelievably fast to get 200 corpses saved!

{I just said to Primefalcon that no one should RSS subscribe to this blog because I am too much of a flake and often change my posts after an hour or two of publishing and he laughed…. raised eyebrow……}

I did start with 600 Winter Storage scrolls so you can see from the screenie above how many Vyres I banked with the scrolls but I also carried many to the bank because the scroll bar just could not keep up with the kill rate. The Yak can not carry the corpses either – dang it…… so I made many trips. Good thing the bank is so close to the fighting area. The set up of Armadyl and Blisterwood stakes seems a great combo for ranging them.

Nevertheless – the vyrewatch corpses always used to stack in one pile in the bank but no longer. Examining them does not give any indication of what is different about them in any way because the message is the same for all. Each does have a slightly different look to them but sort of hard to distinguish them. The combat level of each type of Vyre is the difference – 140, 130, 128, 120, and 110 – I think, though I did not actually see any 128s.

BTW – Ava’s Alerter does seem to pick up Blisterwood stakes which helps a great deal. You could work on magic using the Blisterwood battlestaff or the Ivandis flail as well. I used only monks for food so it wasn’t a big expense as it would have been using rocktails or sharks. Add a range pot or and extreme range pot and whammmmm……… they go down fast!

I will not be turning Vyrewatch assignments down ever again! The biggest problem now is getting some pyre logs made. Guess that’s next on my list after I do the Penguins for this week.

Bork, Skeletal Horror and Tears Of Guthix – again all these add to great xp. I did Troll Invasion for the month and chopped off over 61k to my next Dungeoneering level. There just isn’t enough to be said about doing daily assists, Jack of Trades if you have it, Bork gives you lots of charms for Summoning, and any of the other daily things I’ve got listed on the Daily Do-s & Weekly Too-s link to the right. Many things give you items and many give you xp. There are more things that give you items like the 20 boxes of 50 water filled vials in Shilo and the 100 plant pots at a low price that can either save you gp or you can sell it at the GE.

After checking out the update today, Prime and I decided not to do a podcast this week. Since we had a late podcast last week, we covered this last week’s new stuff already.

The update this week is about raising membership prices – again. It was $5 a month for years. In 2008, it went up to $5.95. Now – it just went up to $7.95 for all new members. The say that existing members will have no change to their monthly fee but I must say that if I wanted to start a new member character, this would have definitely made it a thumbs down.

Now even my extra characters that are higher up, will most likely never see the member’s side of the game. Of course, since they changed high scores, even my other higher, non-member characters won’t show up on the high scores no matter how much I might work on them. In effect, that makes working on non-member characters even more of a waste of time.

This is really upsetting considering how much the membership suddenly went up! It makes me wonder how much it’s going to go up next year or in six months from now. They are making us pay for all their lost revenue it seems, no matter how they say they have added so much new content and are investing more in new content for the coming year. I’d rather have a bit less content and keep the membership fee lower. If I was just a free player, I would not get a membership at this price.

One the other hand, my StoreHows.com project is coming along nicely.

But this bums me so much, I have nothing more to say for now.
This is pushing toward wanting to quit – to be honest. As it is, Prime and I have no other form of paid entertainment. We don’t drink or smoke. We can’t afford to go out to movies or such. We don’t have cable or satellite.
